Rosenborg Slot Hours
A passageway then leads to the vault, built underground to house the Royal Jewels. Rosenborg Castle is open every day from May to October between 10am and 4pm or 5pm in peak season. In the winter months, the castle is often closed on Mondays and opening hours are reduced. About Rosenborg Slot. Rosenborg Slot (Rosenborg Castle) in North Copenhagen is a seventeenth century royal palace built by Christian IV. Construction of Rosenborg Slot began in 1606 with the intention that it become a summer home for Danish monarchs, a purpose which it served until Fredensborg Slot was built in the eighteenth century.
Note: The Royal Reception Rooms, The Royal Kitchen, The Palace Chapel and The Ruins beneath the Palace reopened on 28 May.
Christiansborg Palace has five attractions; The Royal Reception Rooms with The Great Hall and The Tapestries, The Royal Stables, The Royal Kitchen, Christiansborg Palace Chapel and the ruins under the palace. Find the opening hours for each attraction below.

Record year for Denmark's biggest attractions
In 2015, as many as 25 million Danes and foreigners visited the country's 50 largest attractions. That is a full 1.5 million more visitors compared to 2014 and 600,000 more than the previous record year 2013, when there were 24.4 million guests. The record number of visitors is attributed to news and special exhibitions at the attractions.
