Roulette The Band Nj

In the ashes of a project that featured vocalist Jess Barletti and drummer Joe Scarpino, Roulette was formed. The guitar section was then seized by Mike Haider and Greg Scarpino and the bass guitar was then later occupied by Anthony Panduri. Roulette is a completely original hard rock/metal band based near Asbury Park, New Jersey. From Roulette, you can expect ripping, chugging and blaring guitars. Driven by hard, harsh and explosive drums, backed by dark, deep rumbling bass. And all sung with the soaring, sharp vocals of Jess Bariletti. Roulette has had the pleasure of opening for great national acts like; Faster Pussycat, Warrior Soul, Cycle of Pain (ft. John Deservio of Black Label Society and members of Monster Magnet), TANG,and Gunfire-N-Sodomy (ft. Don Jamieson of VH1's That Metal Show) Along with popular local acts like Lower the Veil, Ascending From Ashes, Cashmier, Atom Strange and more.
'One of the coolest moments we’ve had was after playing a show in Garwood, NJ, a few people came up and asked for our autographs. The first time hearing our song ‘Fact or Fiction’ on the radio was so amazing too.'
popVLTR: You've been making moves in New Jersey, how'd you get into music? Roulette: We all grew up so close to Asbury Park, NJ and close to NYC area so it’s hard not to develop of love of music. There are great local shows almost every weekend. Being able to bounce between NJ and NY and catch all these great festivals like Bamboolze, Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, Uproar….it kind of like music education on steroids. So much talent concentrated in this area, it’s so inspiring. You can’t help but want to become that band that maybe will capture the audience’s attention…even if its for a second.
popVLTR: Congrats on the upcoming 'Fact or Fiction' music video, who are some of your influences? Roulette: Thank you! We are really excited about the video. It’s our first attempt at a music video and we’ve got a great crew to work with. Well we love the poetic lyrics of bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore…so that’s the inspiration behind the vocals. However, instrumentally our band’s biggest influences are Metallica, Megadeth, Shinedown, Trivium, and The Damned Things.
popVLTR: What are some of your proudest moments in music? Roulette: One of the coolest moments we’ve had was after playing a show in Garwood, NJ, a few people came up and asked for our autographs. The first time hearing our song ‘Fact or Fiction’ on the radio was so amazing too. Recently we played for the first time in New York City; which really felt like a milestone for the band…we’ll be heading back very soon.
popVLTR: What cool stuff is on the horizon for Roulette? (events, accomplishments, recognition)
Roulette: As mentioned before, we have the music video that’s going to be released soon. We also have plans to record a couple more tracks before releasing an official EP, and to book more shows out of state….possibly even a small east coast tour. - PopVulture Entertainment
